How you make a difference

As a Training Administrator, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of internal and external training programs for staff. You will design and deliver various training formats, including classroom, practical application, and supervised on-the-job training, to achieve specific contract and organizational learning objectives. Additionally, you may be required to develop curriculum to meet the needs of the client. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements training programs to meet specific contract and organizational learning objectives, identifying facility training needs and investigating available training methods and procedures. 
  • Coordinates with management to design and develop new employee orientation, pre-service, on-the-job, in-service specialized, contractor, and volunteer training, and manages the workflow and identifies and trains part-time/resource trainers to provide supplemental or support instruction. 
  • Administers training programs by coordinating and instructing (or obtaining the instruction) for all personnel, contractors, and volunteers, documenting employee training hours, and ensuring that all employees, volunteers, and contractors attend training sessions based on contractual and/or organizational policies. 
  • Maintains training records, monitors progress and performance, and advises employees of recertification deadlines to ensure that certification remains current to client agency requirements. 
  • May manage the work of other employees and supervise and evaluate the performance of trainees, part-time/resource trainers, and Field Training Officers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree

Experience

  • Required: Ability to work with computers and the necessary software applications used by the department.
  • Required: Two (2) year's experience providing training in a behavioral health or similar setting.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Required: Any client-mandated certifications and/or training.
