The Alps Alpine Group currently operates 110 bases in 26 countries and regions, supplying roughly 40,000 different products and solutions to around 2,000 companies worldwide. Those offerings include devices such as switches, sensors, data communication modules, touch input panels, actuators, and power inductors; electronic shifters, remote keyless entry systems, and other automotive units; consumer electronics like car navigation and audio-visual systems; and systems and services such as digital keys based on a smartphone app and blockchain technology, and remote monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for turning a product plan into a sellable product
- Determining product specifications according to a number of various factors and uses
- Supporting manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development
- Consulting market research materials and sales data to ensure that products are viable and competitive
- Submitting proposals and designs for evaluation by the project team and management before moving to the next stage
- Research and provide direction on future Alpine Brand product definition and intellectual property growth areas
- Build relationships with Alpine Brand Sales Channel and Automotive OEM Customer sound system technology experts
- Hands-on testing of sound system performance in laboratory and vehicles
- Write detailed internal and external specifications for component and system performance
- Work with other global Alps Alpine sound system experts, local fabrication team, and outside resources to build and demonstrate bench-top or vehicle-based technology proof of concept demonstrations
- Support Brand BU sales promotion activities through presentation material creation and meetings with customers
- Interact with global counterparts in Asia and Europe
- Selects product vendors, both domestic and international
- Contribute ideas for innovative products and feature enhancements
- This opportunity is in our Auburn Hills, MI facility
- This position will drive and fly for company business, including international travel

Bachelor of Science degree in acoustic, electrical, or mechanical engineering preferred plus 6 years of experience in the automotive and/or 12V industry; Or a Master of Science degree with 4 years similar experience; Or equivalent on-the-job experience.
