PURPOSE OF THE JOB: You are in charge of defining and controlling adequate inventory level of materials in order to fulfill Production / Operations / Installation requirements while minimizing cash immobilization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Material scheduling: only for buy parts
- Calculate ABC Classification
- Manage Stock Policy and Size Inventory Levels
- Define & Control Buy Material Master Data
- Monitor MRP Run
- Manage Material Net Demand
- Calculate and Update Forecasts
- Manage Material Availability (missing parts)
- Manage Material Scheduling activities at project /product initialization and Change
- Manage Material Scheduling activities at project /product closure
- Manage Excess Stock
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Plan and manage inventory to achieve the projects or company targets.
- Execute Service Supply Chain business goals with supporting metrics, such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy and material line accuracy.
- Plan and manage inventory for production departments.
- Complete parts planning analysis and manage inventory for multiple site locations & 3rd party subcontract suppliers providing repair services.
- Interact with Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, Operations, Engineering to accomplish scheduling of inventories to support projects, production and 3rd party sales.
- Interact with forecast or demand planning to ensure inventory planning is based on the most current and accurate forecast.
- Forecast demand for refurbished parts and components needed to support production and field service requirements.
- Provide resolution and execution to key shortage issues.
- Ability to prepare and analyze the short and long-range capacity plans.
- Manage the Inventory reduction project for slow, excess and obsolete materials.
- Provide end of life product analysis and forecasts utilizing historical analysis, trend data and product failure rates to establish future component demand requirements.
- Perform SAP material part maintenance to ensure MRP integrity.
- Supports other departments (i.e. Customer Service, Operations, Materials, Engineering, Safety, Purchasing, etc.)
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Support off-site requirements relating to ALSTOM Transport.
- Other special projects assigned by Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelors Degree preferred and 3 years experience in Inventory control, Manufacturing or Warehouse environment.
- SAP, Microsoft Office, excel, word
- APICS and /or CPIM certification preferred
- Must have Personal computer skills:
- Word /Excel
- (2 ) Experienced in SAP software activities.
- Good Phone skills. Good written/verbal communication and math skills.
- Must manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- A thorough knowledge of current Acela program support processes & related SAP functions.

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:Traveling to various sites, working in various conditions. Office sitting, walking, standing, filing and lifting materials under 50 pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Can come in contact with truck exhaust fumes. Temperature changes when dock doors are open, exposure can last 20 minutes or longer, several times per day. Working on site of customer in extreme conditions.
