We provide services to all age groups. We support over 800 children annually in our Early Intervention Program and 1500 adults in our Family Support Services. POSITION SUMMARY:
Managment of day-to-day operation of the Respite Home. Coordination of Personal Care and/or Respite services for older adolescents and adults; including supervision of Respite Home staff and services, maintaining relationships with families and development, implementation, planning, record keeping and record review. Acts as the main contact for Adult Respite services.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position requires walking, standing, sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and carries small objects from waist to chest.
- Must be able to type.
- Ability to distinguish telephone rings and to hear and speak clearly over the telephone.
- Regularly needs to bend, stoop and reach.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to get along with others.
- Emotional stability necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
SKILLS:
- Detail oriented. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Computer literate and/or ability to learn computer programs. Proficient with word processing applications.
- Experience with spread sheet applications. Knowledge of community resources. Experience with data base applications. Intermediate to exceptional verbal communication skills. Good supervisory skills a must.
EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS in related field, or 3 or more years of related Developmental Disabilities (DD) experience.
