Software Engineer Associate
Job Summary:
Our client in Kanata, ON is looking for a Software Engineer Associate. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
The BSP and Driver Development Team is seeking an embedded software and test automation developer who is experienced in the areas of BSP and bootloaders. The range of projects the candidate will be working on will be infotainment, connectivity and other HW modules in the next generation of vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement BSP/bootloader features as part of a larger team-based software project.
- Implement automated test suites using Python for maximum coverage.
- Develop and maintain software tools and features to assist in automated testing.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Assist with product verification and validation, troubleshooting and testing.
- Communicate problems early to team members and offer solutions.
Basics:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study.
- Excellent problem solving and intuitive debugging skills.
- Experience with version control tools (e.g. SVN, Git).
- Proven C and Python language experience.
- Capable of reading electronic schematics.
- Position fully onsite.
Preferred:
- 1 years of experience in embedded development.
