What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Learning & Development position at Altair Global Services, LLC?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Review existing company training materials to provide recommendations for improvements.
• Update current training materials in video, PowerPoint, and Word formats.
• Assist in the development of training documents for global offices.
• Effectively utilize software platforms to manage, enhance and distribute educational materials (LMS, training content provider, internal intranet, project management and company social media).
• Curate training materials for Altair’s Learning Management System (LMS), UKG Pro Learning.
• Work with business leaders across departments on company-wide and department-specific material creation and implementations.
EDUCATION/AREAS OF STUDY:
• Education; Curriculum & Instruction; Global Business Administration; MIS; Marketing; Real Estate; Communication, Business Management/Analysis; Organizational Development; or related field
• Working knowledge of Excel, for use of documentation and analysis of data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate confidently, effectively, and professionally across all departments and levels of the organization as well as externally, if needed • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effectively plan, coordinate, and execute company meeting events and global training sessions
• Self-motivated, approachable, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must be a junior/senior level undergraduate in good standing pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
• 3.25 GPA level or higher
• Available June – August 2024
• Enthusiastic self-starter, with a go-getter attitude, who proactively takes on new tasks
• Flexible and willing to work as part of a team
• Must have excellent communication skills – written and verbal
This is a paid internship , with an approximate hourly pay rate between $20.00 and $22.00. Interns will work a hybrid schedule, consisting of a minimum of two days per week in-office at Altair’s Frisco headquarters, and the other days from home. Each workday will be eight hours total, regardless of the work location for the day. Please note that Altair will be reviewing its hybrid work policies this summer, which may result in the minimum number of in-office days increasing. WORK/PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting and/or home office work environment. Intern must be able to operate standard office equipment. Intern spends a substantial amount of time working on the computer, on the phone, attending meetings and working under deadlines.
