What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Infrastructure Expert position at ALTEN Technology USA?
As an Electrical Infrastructure Expert you will be responsible for;
- Evaluate and maintain aging electrical infrastructure by conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to extend equipment lifespan.
- Attend strategy meetings with engineering and leadership teams to discuss electrical system upgrades, maintenance plans, and cost-effective CAPEX solutions.
- Develop and review engineering designs for switchgear, highlines , and manual switch/transformer systems to optimize reliability and efficiency.
- Perform technical assessments to determine if existing equipment should be maintained for another 10–20 years or replaced.
- Lead safety and maintenance training sessions to coach teams on best practices for operating and servicing older electrical installations.
- Collaborate with procurement and project teams to source appropriate components and solutions for infrastructure improvements.
- Provide troubleshooting support for power transmission issues, manual switching operations, and other electrical reliability concerns.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while implementing upgrades or repairs.
- Supervise and guide electrical maintenance teams to ensure proper execution of maintenance plans.
Qualifications;
- Expert in older electrical infrastructure with a focus on maintenance and life extension.
- 10 years of experience in high-voltage systems, heaters, and switchgear design.
- Hands-on experience with manual switches and manual transformer systems (not just automated transfers).
- Ability to assess and extend the lifespan of aging electrical installations (10–20 years).
- Strong background in highlines configuration) and power transmission systems.
- Experience coaching teams on safety and maintenance best practices.
- Familiarity with switchgear designs and power distribution in older industrial facilities
Salary Range: $75k-$100k
