The HR Coordinator is responsible for the administration of critical HR processes to support the employee lifecycle at the Alterra headquarters in Denver, CO. The successful incumbent will perform administrative duties including facilitating employee onboarding, responding to unemployment claims, performing employment verifications, assisting with payroll approval, supporting the recruiting team, and accurately maintaining employee records in the HRIS system. The position requires a pro-active, self-starter with the ability to accurately and confidentially handle sensitive information who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.'s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base hourly pay range: $21.63 - $32.69 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities
- Process all new hire onboarding tasks and paperwork including background checks, I-9 verification, scheduling and facilitating new hire orientation sessions, preparing new hire welcome packets, issuing RTD passes and assisting with workstation set up.
- Support HR Director and HR Generalist with the administration of Alterra's employee ski pass and Real Deal voucher programs, including "selling" passes to new employees and dependents, printing replacement passes, processing waiver verifications and coordinating with IT team to troubleshoot any issues.
- Respond to all employment verification requests in a timely manner.
- Prioritize and follow up on multiple incoming issues and concerns including those of a sensitive and/or confidential nature; determine appropriate course of action, and/or response.
- Provide project support for HR projects by ensuring adherence to timelines and tracking of project deliverables. Maintain communication with HR Leadership on project updates and due dates.
- Assist with employee promotions, separations and status changes in the HRIS system as needed; validate all information and approvals to maintain accurate and compliant personnel files.
- Assist the recruiting team with job postings and offer letters as needed.
- Assist employees with general HR questions.
- Work collaboratively with local IT Support Team and Office Services Team to ensure employees have all necessary equipment and supplies to perform their jobs.
- Create and maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere to ensure the highest level of guest service.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
- High level of proficiency with all MS Office applications.
- Working understanding of Human Resources principles, practices and procedures.
- Experience using Workday and UKG preferred.

- Ability to take initiative and follow through with short- and long-term assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with leaders in HR and across the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects including timelines and key deliverables.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- A high level of professionalism and an appreciation for the confidentiality and sensitivity of information received and handled.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to independently compose correspondence.
