Althing, a clinical service provider of innovative, proactive health services, is seeking a Medical Director (full-time) for its brand new convenience care clinic opening summer 2022 within a college campus in Southeast Minnesota. Althing’s Medical Director leads and oversees the new care model with state of the art technology that includes ‘bricks and mortar’ clinic locations enhanced by portable, qualified health services. The Althing clinic provides equal services to all demographics and this is currently the only opportunity to support and guide medical services with full innovative control where the entity provides FDA grade hardware, secure software, novel and adaptive Communication and Information Theory Empowered (CITE) methods and strong industry partnerships.
This role provides leadership and direction for the clinical and business operations of the clinic and community programs to ensure the delivery of quality, modernized patient care and high patient satisfaction in accordance with Althing’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications
- Ensure adherence to and compliance with regulatory requirements, practice accreditation and quality standards
- Oversight of clinical activities related to convenience care, community health and primary care services
- Experience in the fields of family medicine, primary care, or urgent care
- Recruitment of clinical personnel
- Valid medical license in the state of Minnesota required
- Current CPR license
- No history of malpractice or disciplinary actions
- Establish effective clinical workflows and innovative care models
- Develop and execute clinical strategies and programs
- Provide clinical expertise related to patient record management
- Provides clinical services (virtual/onsite at the Southeast MN location)
- Strong clinical knowledge and effective “bedside manner”
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work as an equal member of a interdisciplinary team
- Passion for innovation in healthcare coupled with a desire for equitable, quality care
- Working knowledge of EMR’s; experience with electronic medical record Athena is a plus
- Ability to travel within Minnesota occasionally
- MD or DO degree
