POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Diversified Services, Inc. provides armed School Safety Officers in support of a private school system located in Fairhope, Alabama. The role of the School Safety Officer includes but is not limited to a variety of security related duties.
- Responding to a variety of calls/incidents
- Safeguard and secures all scenes
- Responsible to performcrowd control when needed
- Performs personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks
- First Aid and CPR as required
- Completes all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security applications
- Must be familiar with various Security systems such as: CCTV's, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications.
- Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapons, maintains uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies
- Safeguards all assets, provides assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed
- Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOP's
Payrate:$23.36 Hourly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation
- Must Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications
- Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications
- Must be able to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays
- Must be able to successfully complete approximately 40 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week)
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass all company provided training; to include Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.
- Must have a clean Driving Record
- Must possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensing
- Current Operator's permit. (Driver's License)
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision
