Public Relations Intern

AM Group, a women-owned marketing agency based in Northwest Arkansas, is seeking a Public Relations Intern to join our Fayetteville team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic marketing firm while supporting our account teams.
The PR Intern will contribute to a range of tasks, including media relations, content creation, administrative support, and research, all with the goal of executing effective client strategies.
This role is part-time, with 15-20 hours per month with a three-month commitment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting press releases, media advisories, and pitches. Help maintain and update media lists. Monitor media coverage and prepare reports for clients.
- Draft content for social media, blogs, and newsletters. Collaborate with account teams to create engaging, on-brand messaging.
- Provide support in preparing presentations, reports, and meeting materials. Assist in scheduling and coordinating client meetings.
- Conduct research on industry trends, media opportunities, competitors, and client-relevant topics. Assist in gathering insights to inform PR strategies.
- Support internal teams in delivering client services, including campaign coordination and tracking project timelines.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with social media platforms; experience with PR tools (e.g., Cision, MuckRack, Meltwater) is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, professional environment.
