What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at AM PM IDEAL PET CARE?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from clients
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Process payments for services rendered and handle financial transactions accurately
- Utilize veterinary terminology to accurately communicate with clients and staff members
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of pet care, dog training, equine, animal husbandry, and aseptic technique is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling appointments and managing client records
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach towards animals and their owners
