What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room Associate position at Amador Cellars?
Amador Cellars is a small family owned and operated vineyard and winery located in the heart of Amador County's wine region. We make our wines with loving care. We take full advantage of the natural resources and climate of our region to grow delicious wine grape from the many Mediterranean varietals that do well here. We then use simple, age-old wine making practices to make wine that expresses our region and the grape's varietal heritage. We are quality driven, family oriented, and dedicated to producing flavorful wines that can be enjoyed for all occasions.
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and experienced individual to promote and sell Amador Cellars wine to our tasting room visitors; promote and enroll new members in our wine clubs; and help plan and participate in special events.
Full Time: Thursday-Monday 9:30am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Sale of wine and merchandise to tasting room guests
- Creating a memorable and personalized experience for our guests
- Educating guests about our wines
- Promoting and enrolling new members in our wine clubs
- Preparing tasting room for opening and closing daily
- Stocking case goods and maintaining inventory
- Conducting tastings and processing wine sales
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming tasting room
Qualifications:
- Experience in retail sales or hospitality encouraged
- Friendly, positive and engaging with effective customer service skills
- Self-starter; positive team player; multi-tasker
- Able to work a flexible schedule -- weekends required, some holidays
- Familiarity with POS software and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Passion for wine and food
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
