Quality Control Technician

Job Description Job Description Amalfi Trading is a leading worldwide distributor of electronic components. Our components are used in telecommunications, computing, medical electronics, automotive electronics, defense and aerospace electronics, and in industrial environments.The Quality Control Technician will assist with receiving incoming deliveries, inspecting components, and preparing shipments in an air-conditioned warehouse. Hours are M-F 9 : 00am to 5 : 00pm. Starting pay is $17.00-$18.00 / hr. (depending on experience). There will be a 90 day probationary period and review. 2 weeks paid vacation and paid national holidays after 90 days. Health insurance option offered after 90 days. Applicant must provide references. A criminal background check will be performed.Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work with a sense of urgency in order to meet deadlines are vitally important.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician : Receive and confirm incoming deliveriesInspect incoming productsCreate documents for outgoing domestic and international shipments with 100% accuracy.Identify and pull product as listed on sales orders to prepare shipmentsInventory Management : identify components by item number, manufacturer, quantity, date code, and country of originKeeps warehouse area clean and organizedWorks closely with the warehouse manager to keep the shipping and receiving department in smooth working order.Requirements : Minimum of 1 YEAR employment in a RECEIVING / INSPECTION positionMust possess the ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlinesProficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel for receiving and invoicing productMust be extremely organized with impeccable attention to detail and accuracyMust possess exceptional written and verbal communication skillsMust possess the ability to work independently and efficientlyMust have reliable transportation and be punctualMust be a team player with a positive attitudeMust be 100% fluent in the English languageExperience with the following is preferred but not required : International Shipping experience - SEDs and Harmonized CodesFedEx, UPS and DHL shipping software, knowledge of AESBenefits : 2 weeks paid vacation and paid national holidays after 90 days.Health insurance option offered after 90 days.Job Type : Full-timePay : $17.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits : 401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule : Monday to FridayEducation : High school or equivalent (Required)Experience : Receiving / Inspection : 1 year (Preferred)License / Certification : Driver's License (Required)Work Location : In personCompany Description Amalfi Trading is a leading worldwide distributor of electronic components.
