AR Clerk

Position Overview:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of SAP and Excel, be able to multitask effectively, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. This role involves managing a high volume of customer accounts, applying payments, resolving account discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date records to support accurate billing and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Process customer payments in SAP using various payment methods including checks, cash, EFT, online bill pay, and payments from drivers

·       Research and reconcile discrepancies, credits, and account issues

·       Maintain accurate customer account records, including contact info, account notes, payment status, and delivery information

·       Perform collection activities per standard operating procedures (SOPs), escalating to supervisor when necessary

·       Ensure compliance with Nevada credit law and internal SOPs, including documentation and courtesy calls

·       Coordinate with sales and internal departments to resolve account disputes and update account status

·       Distribute monthly customer statements

·       Manage an account portfolio of approximately 1,000 customer accounts

·       Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and requests

·       Maintain a high level of customer service and foster strong relationships internally and externally

·       Accurately handle high volumes of orders, calls, and data entry under time constraints

·       Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of customer interactions and payment status

Qualifications:

·       Prior experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel required

·       Strong multitasking skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·       Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

·       Positive and professional attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities

·       Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads efficiently

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills
