What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Support Associate position at Amazon Web Services, Inc.?

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
  • Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with an expected conferral date between September 2021 and September 2022; or completed your degree within past 12 months; or 1 year relevant work experience
  • 1 year of experience with Systems Administration in Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris, etc.)
  • 1 year of experience with Networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
  • 1 year of experience with Troubleshooting / Support for technical IT issues

This is a shift work position. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.

  • Knowledge of internet fundamentals and cloud computing concepts
  • Knowledge of AWS core services, Command Console, or command line interface
  • Knowledge of compute, database and storage concepts
  • Knowledge of IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of security concepts / best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for contact with customers via calls, chats, and email
