The Optimum Advertiser Communication and Engagement System (OACES) is the centralized notification platform for Amazon Advertising, integrating with various Amazon systems to deliver communications to the worldwide advertising community at scale. OACES enables Advertisers to discover relevant recommendations, features, alerts, updates, and other notification types over email, UI and mobile, honoring their specific delivery and language preferences. We send millions of notifications with high throughput, low latency and exceptional quality.

Job responsibilities
As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical, you will drive the long-term vision through development of vision documents (PRFAQs), definition of business requirements, launch and post-launch measurement. You will also serve as a key player with partner teams across the advertising org, working to align interests and implement scalable solutions. The right candidate will possess a strong product management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large scale projects. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical and operational constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. High judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The Sr. Product Manager - Technical should meet these basic qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher
- 5 years of product management experience and/or business leadership experience in a software company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple senior leadership teams
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- 2 years leading a ‘program’ from conception through completion, demonstrating multi-functional skills to make it successful
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience in Online Advertising Experience
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality and an entrepreneurial drive; demonstrated ability to have fun and inspire team
- A passionate advocate for customers and their needs
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
- Willing to think and act both strategically and tactically
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholder needs in a fast paced environment across geographies
- Track record of completing medium to large-scale projects from initiation to delivery
