We are developing new services that cross several divisions of Amazon, and looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) to look around corners to make sure we do not miss solving key customer needs. As TPM for AWS, End-User Computing you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects that involve multiple teams end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal teams across multiple divisions of Amazon to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, and drive the desired outcomes to cross-functional teams consisting of engineers, product managers and program managers. This highly visible role will be in regular communication with senior leaders within and across organizations.

• Manage dependencies and make appropriate trade-offs
• Provide escalation management
• Balance business and customer needs vs. technical constraints to meet timelines

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-BA / BS in Engineering or Operations or equivalent experience
-5 years experience working in an enterprise software product development environment as a program or project manager
-5 years experience with planning software delivery in an agile or service-oriented environment
-Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Experience with supply chain management
  • Exposure to system/device development, build and planning
