This position provides the candidate an opportunity to execute analytical deep dives that help inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience, this candidate will have exposure in driving category growth. Key job responsibilities
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Key job responsibilities
- Defines the vision and business strategy for the category including North Star metric(s) and KPIs for measuring results
- Manages category P&L and develops plans that drive revenue and margin improvements for the business
- Develops vendor relationships inclusive of terms negotiations and growth focused initiatives
- Drives broad adoption and provide an unparalleled customer experience
- Devise clear frameworks for making day-to-day decisions
- Lead execution of projects including building project plans
- Drive commitments from internal teams including Marketing, Engineering, and Category Management
- Dives deep into inputs and understands the downstream impact of changes to pricing, selection, and convenience for subcategories.
- 3 years of with Excel experience
- 5 years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 3 years of professional or military experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
