Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO Inc. (AMP), for ColumbiaDoctors, is seeking a Full-Time Phlebotomist to join our clinical team and growing practices in Rockland or Orange Counties.
AMP is a Management Service Organization (MSO) that provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors. ColumbiaDoctors is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in New York State, comprised of an experienced group of physicians specializing in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. We are a large group with over 50 Columbia Providers and offices in Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lab specimen collection, creation of test requisitions via EHR, specimen processing and handling, and maintenance of laboratory environment, equipment, and supplies
- Maintains quality results by following department procedures and testing schedule; recording results in the quality-control log, identifying and reporting needed changes
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
- Strong knowledge of phlebotomy skills, aseptic technique, standard precautions, and HIPAA practices
- Must be efficient, organized, proficient in maintaining patient flow, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Education/Experience Required:
- NYS Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred; graduate of an approved Phlebotomy course with Certificate of Completion required.
- Two (2) years relevant work experience preferred
- BLS Certification required
- Maintain HIPPA patient/employee confidentiality
- Knowledge of EMR systems a must; EPIC experience a plus
- Previous experience with Medical Insurances (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial)
