Attention all RNs with experience in Pre-Op, PACU or med/surg: we're looking for a dynamic, energetic, and slightly (okay, very) humorous nurse to join our team at the newest Surgery Center in Ogden, UT.
As our Registered Nurse in Pre-Op/PACU, you'll need to have skills and experience that put superheroes to shame.
Job duties include Pre-Op assessments, patient education (and making them laugh - a bonus), preparing patients for surgery, setting up equipment like a boss, and monitoring patients' vital signs and symptoms post-operation. You'll need to administer medications with mad precision, assess patients' pain levels, and be ready to transfer patients to the recovery like a ninja if needed.
To rock this job, you'll need to have a nursing degree and licensure in the state of Utah, as well as a minimum of two years’ experience in PACU and Pre-Op. You'll need to be BLS- and ACLS-certified and have the skills to recognize and react to any potential complications.
But, personality-wise, we're looking for someone who takes their work seriously, but knows how to have a little bit of fun. We're talking about someone who can make a patient smile even when they're in pain, someone who knows how to high-five a colleague when they totally nailed that surgery, and someone who never forgets to bring snacks to share.
