This exciting role has a responsibility for determining wafer needs, the most critical and expensive of AMD purchases on a weekly basis to balance customer needs, product changes, yields and inventory. THE PERSON: The ideal person for this role has excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse groups. They also have knowledge in statistical analysis, forecasting, inventory and production management theories and application in practical situations. They have strong systems and quantitative modeling background. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Driving production and delivery performance of global suppliers. This requires direct interfacing with the suppliers on a weekly basis Cross-functional work with the BU, engineering and other operations groups Analysis of forecasts and yields to determine optimal wafer starts Test and implementation of new models and systems used in wafer planning PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Semiconductor Industry, Fab and/or Supply Chain Experience Experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse Experience with SAP system Programming skills in PowerBI, PL/SQL is preferred ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors or Masters degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or Computer Science preferred.
