Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much respected facility in Boston MA who is currently seeking an RN to assist them at their facility on a full time basis.
Details Of The Position Include
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 13 weeks to start with likelihood of extension
Facility Type: Correctional Facility
Openings: Full time, days and evenings available (Mon-Fri and every other weekend required)
RN - $60/hr local and $2,750 gross/week travel
General nursing duties. Med passing, triage, and risk assessment.

Details Of The Position Include

RN - $60/hr local and $2,750 gross/week travel
- No parking on site, but there is a garage close by that is $300/month. We can reimburse up to $200/month.
General nursing duties. Med passing, triage, and risk assessment.
- Assists physicians with medical treatments -Administers prescribed medication
- Applies surgical dressings & bandages
- Provides emergency first aid care
- Checks & records vital signs -Obtains specimens from inmate patients for diagnostic testing
- Reports reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the inmates’ emotional or physical condition
- Provides inmate patient education and/or discharge planning
- Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
- Promotes a therapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated in a professional, ethical and tactful manner
- Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting
Required Qualifications:
- Current Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
- Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- WILL CONSIDER A NEW GRAD
