About The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to preschool students in integrated and self-contained classrooms.
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Address behavioral needs and implement appropriate interventions and supports.
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and paraprofessional team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all compliance requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, parent communication, and multidisciplinary planning.
- AM Session: Integrated classroom with a mix of ECSE and typically developing students (currently 4 students; can increase to 15).
- PM Session: Self-contained classroom (currently 6 students; can increase to approximately 10).
- Support Staff: Assigned paraprofessional support in both sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).
- Valid state teaching certificate per district/state regulations.
- One year of teaching experience (preferred).
- Preferred certifications:
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Teaching
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
- Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
- CPR certification, if applicable.
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.
- Current health certificate (per contract or state requirement).
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Modality: Special Education Teacher – ELC
- Group & Individual Support: Collaboration with assigned paraprofessionals
- Testing: Not applicable for this position
