Position Summary:
Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher to support students within the Pasadena Unified School District. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities in grades K–12. This role requires a collaborative spirit, a commitment to inclusive education, and a passion for helping every student reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction, behavioral support, and life skills training in a variety of settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional learning communities.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (Master’s preferred).
- Valid Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a teaching environment preferred.
