Description
American Academy (AA) has openings for Primary Teaching Assistants for the 2024-2025 academic year at our Lincoln Meadows campus. The Teacher Assistants are responsible for helping teachers with academic focused objectives. This position completes all curriculum based trainings, provides assistance with implementing daily and long-range lessons (both small and whole group) under the guidance of teachers, collaborates and consults with grade level teachers to develop weekly plans, and promotes good community relations with students, teachers, and parents.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to the mission and philosophy of American Academy with enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.

Assist teachers with instruction for student learning.
Maintains and monitors the daily activities of students in classes and provides a variety of assistance when needed.
Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, students, administration and parents.
Follow applicable school, district, state, and federal policies, procedures, and laws, including American Academy’s core values/mission and behavior expectations.
Demonstrate high standards of professional behavior and responsible citizenship including trust, fairness, ethical decision making, respect, and critical thinking.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum job-related experience; Experience in an educational environment preferred
Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
Computer skills word processing
Qualifications
Salary : $35,000 - $43,000
