Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Coordinate all LTL, retail, and small package routing via most inexpensive transportation and via customer’s requests
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check all customer’s orders for accuracy and correct billing charges.
- Obtain quotes from LTL carriers to determine most inexpensive means of transportation of product.
- Arrange retail customer carriers pick up dates and times via customer retail software links and phone contacts.
- Create bill of lading for each customer’s order.
- Process shipping resolutions.
- Must have the ability to choose or decide about things in a clear and definite way without too much hesitation or delay.
- Accountable for accuracy and productivity.
- Should be able to adapt to last minute change in scheduling.
- Responsible for informing picker and Shipping Supervisor (if required) on any discrepancies that are discovered on an order prior to loading onto trailer.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read and interpret instructions related to customer orders and procedures.
- Ability to write fluent email correspondence to customers and inter-company personnel.
- Ability to organize and file correspondence pertaining to all billing.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
· 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
- License or certificates in any of the above mentioned trade skills are beneficial
SPECIAL SKILLS:.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently in an office environment with little or no supervision.
- Must have a working understanding of all office equipment and maintenance of the same.
Salary : $31,300 - $39,700
