What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Saw Helper position at American Aluminum Extrusion?

As a part of this role, you will be responsible for helping the press saw operator with various tasks. You will be required to load materials onto the saw, organize the processed materials, and pack them in accordance with the specific requirements of the customer. This job requires high attention to detail and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The following are the essential job functions:
Work closely with the saw operator to ensure proper packaging and placement of products.
Inspect products to customer specifications, looking for imperfections, including scratches, dents, bows, and twists.
Cross-train, learn, and support other functions or processes as required.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in reading tape measures and other measuring instruments.
Ability to accurately complete documentation and work on computers.
Capability to follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining safety.
Flexibility to work overtime or adjust shifts according to the requirements.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Applicants must have at least two years of related experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The job requires working on the production floor, with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, noise, and extreme temperatures.
You should be able to stand for long periods and perform tasks such as stooping, bending, and reaching overhead.
You should be able to use both hands.
Additionally, you should be able to lift and move parts/equipment that weigh between 50-75 pounds repeatedly.
