Description
The primary responsibilities of this position within the distribution center are to provide fulfillment services through picking, packing, kitting and shipment of product to customers. Responsibilities may include using forklift or picking equipment to complete tasks, which may require working at elevations of 10-20 feet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Order Fulfillment
- Identify and gather products, based on pick ticket, for assembly of customer orders.
- Assemble orders accurately, following customer specifications, in preparation for delivery or shipping.
- Prepare parcels for mailing and shipping utilizing both American and third-party software solutions.
- Research, track and provide status on wayward packages.
- Responsible for staging completed boxes, pallets in designated shipping areas.
- Receiving
- Assist with entry-level shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Recordkeeping
- Maintain files of customer invoices and supporting documentation, including the filing of new documents and those returned to the department on the daily basis.
- Create new files for shared accounts, split agreements and account transfers.
- Processes file requests and tracks outgoing files or invoices.
- Research, invoice and inventory archives as needed.
- Transfer files into archive on an annual basis.
- Maintenance
- Ensure distribution center is accessible and safe for all team members and visitors by being observant of and/or reporting safety concerns.
- Maintain distribution center cleanliness standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
- Required: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); no experience required.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or GED; six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technology and Competency Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in the following technologies:
- Internet
- Ability to obtain familiarity with the following:
- APS (American’s PeopleSoft)
- UPS shipping software
- FedEx shipping software
- Previous experience working with forklift and/or willingess to be trained

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
In order to be an authorized operator of material handling equipment such as forklifts, powered pallet jacks, reach trucks or order pickers, forklift certification must be achieved and maintained. Training will be provided.
