The Sponsorship Coordinator at the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) will play a key role in ensuring the fulfillment and activation of sponsorship and partnership agreements. This position will be responsible for executing the delivery of contracted sponsorship benefits, ensuring sponsor satisfaction, and supporting the ACSM’s event-related sponsorship activities. In addition, the role will assist with sponsorship renewals and support advertising sales efforts.

ACSM is a hybrid environment, accepting applicants only from Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee with priority given to those in Indiana within driving distance to Indianapolis. Some travel may be required. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
The salary range for this position is $51,275 - $65,275 Only those exceeding experience and education requirements will be considered for the top of the salary range.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sponsorship Fulfillment & Activation
- Coordinate the day-to-day execution of sponsorship agreements, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and to the sponsor’s expectations.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, education, events, certification, content, etc.) to ensure successful implementation of sponsorship assets across various platforms.
- Assist in the collection of assets, internal timelines and execution for sponsor webinars.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, handling inquiries, providing status updates, and resolving any fulfillment-related issues.
- Monitor and report on sponsorship performance, providing post-event evaluations and ROI analysis for sponsors.
- Various sponsorship related projects as assigned.
Event Sponsorship Coordination
- Assist in the planning and execution of sponsor-related activities for ACSM events, including the Annual Meeting and other key events.
- Coordinate sponsor brand visibility and recognition at events through signage, digital placements, and other promotional avenues.
- Complete the logistical setup and activation of sponsor exhibits and/or special event activations.
Sponsorship Renewals
- Support the Director of Partnerships and Sponsorships in managing sponsor renewal processes.
- Track sponsorship contract timelines and assist in preparing renewal proposals.
- Foster strong relationships with existing sponsors to encourage renewals and identify potential upsell opportunities.
Advertising Sales Support
- Assist in generating and maintaining advertising sales, including digital and print ads across ACSM platforms (e.g., website, publications).
- Coordinate ad placements and ensure the timely delivery of advertising materials.
- Track and report on ad sales performance and inventory.
Requirements

- Proficiency with CRM and project management software.
- Understanding of event marketing and sponsorship activation.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in sponsorship sales, partnership management, or related roles.
- Experience in event marketing and sponsorship activation.
- Experience in sports, fitness, or health industries is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM and project management software is a plus.
