Wastewater Pipefitter

We are looking for an experienced pipefitter to join our team delivering projects for a VA project. Qualified candidates should have experience with a wide variety of pipe materials, each with a different type of joint. They must also understand how to successfully install all of these different items. This position will report directly to the foreman and perform the following duties:

• Assist with installation of process equipment including tanks, pumps, conveyors, centrifuges and belt filter presses
• Must know how to Install a variety of interior piping systems including ductile iron pipe, stainless steel, copper, and PVC
• Installation of a variety of buried yard piping systems including mechanical joint and sanitary sewer ductile iron pipe, reinforced concrete pipe, HDPE, and PVC
• Installation of various pipe appurtenances such as valves, pressure gauges, and pipe specials
• Installation of pipe supports
• Rigging and handling of heavy items
• Fitting of threaded and welded pipe joints
• Pipe testing
• Repair of pipe leaks
• Basic understanding of construction drawings
• Basic Layout and Surveying
