X-ray Certified Dental Assistant
Are you looking for part-time work? Would you like to make your own schedule? Does occasionally subbing work for you? Do you have certain days a week you are available and looking to make some extra money?
American Dental is looking for x-ray certified dental assistants to fill this role for our offices located in Berks, Chester, Lancaster and Montgomery counties. You will only work on the days you are available and/or on an as needed basis. You will be needed to fill in for vacations, sick days, maternity leave, etc., or we also have some locations that only need a dental assistant one or two days a week. You tell us what days/hours/locations you want to work and we will accommodate you!!
Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather patient information and health background
- Prepare the work area for procedures
- Take x-rays of patients’ teeth when necessary and display results for the dentist
- Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures
- Prepare materials for crowns or dental impressions
- Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits
- Restock treatment areas and monitor inventory
Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
- 1 years of dental assisting experience
- X-ray certification a must
- Current BLS and CPR certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Dentrix experience a plus
- Ability to travel to different locations and feel at home
