BASIC FUNCTION:
Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner; providing prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing member transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilizing Universal Financial Workstation, processes various member transactions including, but not limited to:
- Cash withdrawals
- cash deposits
- loan payments
- loan transfers
- share to share transfers
- draft deposits
- visa payments
- selling Money Orders
- Obtains adequate member identification.
- Ensures receipt of accurate and complete vouchers. Documents money received and disbursed.
- Communicates directly with members:
- advises prospective members of the advantages of Credit Union membership
- sells and cross-sells on the advantages of Credit Union new and existing services
- responds to questions and problems relative to member accounts and/or referring members to appropriate Department for handling
- Responsible for daily balancing of all monies:
- conducts trial balance
- performs end-of-day balancing orders or returns money to vault to maintain authorized starting cash fund
- Responsible for opening and closing of Universal Financial Workstation and maintaining proper security measures throughout the day.
- Performs related duties and special requests as assigned. May include, but not be limited to: covering drive-thru window.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training.
