What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Service Coordinator position at American Endovascular & Amputation Prevention?

American Endovascular is seeking a motivated Patient Service Coordinator that care about improving patients' lives. This person must have experience working as a medical receptionist and or front desk clerk, in a healthcare environment. Must have a friendly outgoing personality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling, rescheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Checking in patients upon arrival
  • Arrange transportation.
  • Professionally handle requests and ensure issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly.
  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and positively with patients and clinical staff.
  • Obtain necessary authorizations for procedures or office visits
  • Confirm appointments with patients
  • Answer phone calls in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
  • Check insurance eligibility to confirm correct insurance information.
  • Collect copays as needed.

Requirements:

  • Authorization experience required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Front desk in a medical environment, required.
  • Basic computer skills, required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
