We have an opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and hardworking candidate to join AEI’s Events team. The Events team is responsible for close to 1,000 events annually, including AEI’s annual black-tie gala and World Forum. This position is responsible for assisting policy scholars and their staff with event planning and execution and assisting in the planning and production of special annual events.
The ideal candidate will be happy in a fast-paced, demanding, team-oriented environment and also comfortable taking initiative and working independently. He or she will be at ease with all types of software, platforms, and Microsoft Office applications, finding satisfaction in extracting data to respond to the Institute’s needs and streamlining processes to enhance efficiency across tasks including invitation production and event posting. The ability to multitask and handle diverse projects and deadlines is a must. Superior communication skills and a high degree of discretion are also required. Day-to-day responsibilities include heavy database management, metrics analysis, event-invitation production, RSVP management, and supporting event logistics and execution. HTML, graphic design, and database skills are recommended.
