What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Analyst II position at American Equity?
The Quality Assurance Analyst II plans and conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. This includes performing test planning, test design and test execution. In addition to QA responsibilities, the Analyst also executes various administration and support items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration Items
- Provides weekly status reports of ongoing and future projects
- Completes assigned tasks in JIRA.
- Review and approve project plans for assigned projects
Testing Items
- Takes on projects requiring more complex knowledge and experience including basic test script writing.
- Analyzes and reviews requirements and technical work products.
- Defines test plan and results and documents them in qTest.
- Designs test scenarios, scripts and data and executes manual or automated scripts.
- Validates test results and records and researches defects.
- Prioritizes, defines and manages defect reporting and resolution.
- Manages defect reporting and resolution.
- Coordinates and plans test.
- Able to handle testing projects with minimal supervision
- Leads test planning efforts on assigned team
- Utilizes qTest and qTest eXplorer to create tests, execute them and log defects
Support Items
- Assists user departments with medium level problems and questions related to assigned projects
- May assist with other QA department responsibilities
- Will assist with resolution/retesting of production issues
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance or related field of study; plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Insurance Industry experience working with annuity principles and products along with related federal and state laws.
