Non-Negotiable Requirements

· No Felony Background

· Must be able to pass a background check

· Currently hold or have the ability to obtain a Guard License for the City of Topeka

Benefits After 90 Days of Employment

The responsibilities of the security guard will be to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and staff by monitoring premises and personnel.

Security Guards Job Duties:

· Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; access points; and permitting entry.

· Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.

· Complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, etc.

· Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with requirements.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Security guards will help to guard against theft, while helping to keep the overall environment secure.

· The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.

Requirements:

· Proven working experience as a security guard or relevant experience

· Ability to obtain a Topeka Security Guard License.

· Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment

· Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols

· Surveillance skills and detail orientation

· Integrity and professionalism

Qualifications:

· Valid government issued ID card

· Valid KS State D-License

· Social Security Number card

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must have open availability schedule

· Must be able to start immediately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
