FT High School Art Teacher
Join American Heritage in American Fork, Utah, for the 2025–26 school year as a full-time High School Art Teacher and inspire students through creativity, skill development, and a love for the visual arts. Under the direction of the Fine Arts Department Chair and high school administration, the Art Teacher will plan and deliver engaging curriculum for students in grades 9–12. The Art Teacher will cultivate an appreciation for art while fostering students' technical and conceptual growth through a variety of mediums and projects.
The Art Teacher will be responsible for creating lesson plans aligned with Utah Core Standards and American Heritage's mission, preparing materials, teaching in-person classes, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining a safe, clean, and inspiring classroom environment. The teacher will also help coordinate student art shows, participate in school events and parent meetings, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress and classroom activities.
Applicants should have at least two years of teaching experience in an art classroom, preferably at the high school level. A bachelor's degree or higher in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred. Strong candidates will demonstrate proficiency in a range of artistic techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, or digital art, and have the ability to teach students with diverse skill levels and backgrounds.

Summary of Responsibilities
