Project Manager - Ornamental/Miscellaneous Steel

American Ironworks Mfg Inc is a leading Fabricator and Installer of Structural and Ornamental/Miscellaneous steel located in the San Fernando Valley. We deliver unparalleled quality and craftsmanship in every project we undertake. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Ornamental/Miscellaneous Steel Project Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the successful execution of our projects.

Position Overview:

As the Ornamental Steel Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of ornamental steel projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and our internal team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your role will involve managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and coordinating all project activities to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage multiple ornamental steel projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.

- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans and specifications.

- Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services necessary for project execution.

- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

- Prepare and present project status reports, including progress updates.

- Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

- Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication and responsiveness to their needs.

- Provide leadership and guidance to field crews, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in project management within the steel industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

- Strong knowledge of ornamental steel fabrication and installation techniques, materials, and industry best practices.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in software and tools, such as Microsoft Office. Autocad and Fabcad experience is a plus

- Field measuring

- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and make sound decisions under pressure.

- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing construction projects.
