Qualifications :

  • Must have BSW
  • Must have current social work experience in long term care
  • Must have current nursing home experience
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills

Staff Social Worker Job Description :

  • Assist new residents and their family in the initial adjustment phase, as well as in the ongoing transition to institutional living
  • Provide information to the resident, and / or family member, on residents' rights and responsibilities
