K–12 Music Education Position – Part-Time
Location: Lemont, IL
Schedule: Mondays, 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
The American Music Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced K–12 Music Educator to join our teaching faculty. This is a part-time, in-person teaching opportunity working with students in Music Appreciation and instrumental group classes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Teach Music Appreciation classes for all grade levels (K–12)
- Lead group instrumental classes (e.g., strings, winds)
- Develop and follow engaging lesson plans and curriculum
- Work with students of varying skill levels and backgrounds
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of previous teaching experience
- Experience teaching Music Appreciation and group instrumental classes
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (minimum requirement)
- Strong classroom management and curriculum planning skills
- Reliable access to a car or transportation
- Availability on Mondays from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Must be able to teach in person at our Lemont, IL location
