What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screen Printer position at American Nameplate?
We are looking for an experienced screen printer to help us inside of a custom metal nameplate production house. We would like to have a canidate that has screenprinted before to give us a head start on our very different screen printing envitonment. We are a small Busness, 22 total employees, that has been in Chicago since 1933.
DUTIES
Autonomus printing of provided screens on provided substrates in a time effective manner.
- Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
- Performs trained skills safely and accurately.
- Announces abnormalities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must pass voluntary drug screen.
- Previous metal working/decorating/chemical processing will be considered for appropriate wage groups depending on skills already known.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Union shop: Chemical and Production Workers Union: Local NO. 30, AFL-CIO. All employees must join per union contract.
- Contract wages based on job/skill level.
- Annual contractual wage increases.
- Post 30 day probationary employee raise of $0.20h.
- $15k Life insurance provided, covered by American Nameplate.
- Pension contribution, covered by American Nameplate.
- Health Insurance Employee Monthly Contribution: $29.00 (single) - $34.00 (spouse children), remainder covered by American Nameplate.
- Employee Union Dues: $27.00 per month.
- Sickness and Accident (outside of work) Insurance for missed work due to qualified and verified issue, covered by American Nameplate.
- Vacation: 1y service: 1w PTO; 2y service: 2w PTO; 7y service: 3w PTO; 20y service; 4wk PTO; 25y service 5wk PTO.
