Pet Groomer

We are a very busy, full-service pet boarding and grooming facility located in Glendora, CA. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least Two year Experience in Pet grooming and possess a strong understanding of grooming techniques tailored to various dog breeds, coat types, and owner preferences.

Pay: $20-24 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services, including haircutting, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, ensuring pet safety and comfort.
• Assess grooming needs based on breed, coat condition, and owner requests.
• Use and maintain grooming tools effectively and safely. Provide exceptional customer service by discussing grooming plans.
• Monitor pets for health concerns and communicate issues to owners.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, following sanitation protocols.

Requirements:

• Experience in Pet grooming, with a minimum 2 years. (Required)
• Extensive knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards and coat care techniques.
• Proficiency with all grooming tools, including clippers, scissors, and other specialized equipment.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and coat conditions with care and patience. Must be physically able to lift dogs weighing 60 pounds or more.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
• Must have a positive attitude, be reliable, punctual, and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
• Experience with Cat grooming is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a high-volume grooming salon or similar setting.
