Description
We have a great opportunity for a student attending technical/trade school who is interested in learning the maintenance technician role in a manufacturing setting! This will be a hands-on position, working on the plant floor. American Plastics, LLC, a leading designer, and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household, garage storage and commercial cleaning, is seeking a positive, outgoing, and energetic Maintenance Technician Intern to join our team reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This position will work a part-time and will be a flexible schedule working around school.
Requirements
This internship/co-op is designed to give Maintenance Technicians that don’t have experience the opportunity to develop and learn more in the field of Maintenance.
Participate in corrective, preventive, and improvement work orders
Learn and participate in routine equipment/facility repairs
Learn and use root cause analysis when troubleshooting any process problems
Performs preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) prior to Preventive Maintenance (PM)
Gathers information for performance improvements during PM activities
