What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permit Coordinator position at American Process Management?
American Process Management (APM) is hiring a Permit Coordinator to join our team. APM is a project management and data analytics company supporting large scale industrial capital projects ranging from $100 million to over $3 billion in total cost.
This position will assist the company in securing city, state, DOT road jurisdictions and railroad permits related to utility construction. This position will include the option to work from home with travel to project sites. Candidate must be located in the southeast or willing to relocate. This is a hybrid position with the expectation of being in the office three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Identification of roadway agencies requiring permits and the extent of those permits as well as the communication of such permit requirements and status to other company personnel.
- Examination of drawings, records, and other documents to understand and determine specific permitting requirements.
- Creation and completion of correspondence and documentation for permitting, including ensuring documents that are fully processed and satisfy company and/or agency requirements.
- Serve as permitting resource, collaborating with stakeholders in a team environment, as well as routing and locating key documentation.
- Representation of company at public, agency and industry forums and events.
- Tracking and reporting status of permitting processes to team members and leadership.
- Provide record storage and file maintenance in content management software (i.e. Excel, Smartsheet, and SharePoint)

Education and Experience
- Associate degree or 2 years’ experience in the utility industry required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the utility industry preferred
- Experience in an office environment preferred

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
