What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mail Services Professional position at American Quarter Horse Association?
Works in a team setting to assist in mail processing and shipping. Operate data entry device, such as keyboard or scanner, to process and prepare mail. Duties may include verifying data and preparing materials for printing and mailing. Perform interoffice and in town deliveries. Loading and unloading materials use for horse shows.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the mail pickup throughout the building and HOF daily as scheduled from each department, prepare it for postal service and deliver it to the USPS or appropriate location.
- Prepare items to be shipped by freight to shows and sales. This can include working with freight companies scheduling pick up and deliveries, submitting shipping documentation through online freight websites and following up on pickup / delivery.
- Assist in receiving, opening, and scanning mail during high volume mail days.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trailers for events and delivering items to their respective department or storage location.
- Participate in setting up and tearing down of special events.
- Help keep the barn and other work areas organized and cleaned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Specific Knowledge:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- CDL preferred but not required.
