Electrical Assembler
Responsibilities:
- Assembles and wires equipment by following schematics and schedules, making sure to adhere to pre-set processes and quality standards
- Assembles Electrical control panels and subassemblies per shop order, blueprints, and schedule, making sure to follow pre-set processes and quality standards
- Utilizes hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers, and clamps
- Operates power tools such as battery powered drills, saws, sanders, and grinders
- Operates overhead cranes and forklifts
- Uses measuring equipment frequently such as tape measures, torque wrenches, calipers, and levels
- Performs spot inspections throughout assembly process and final quality testing to ensure product is assembled properly and to the highest standard
- Troubleshoots and tracks project status
- Identifies and communicates any safety or quality issues with lead or immediate supervisor
- Maintains clean and safe work area, utilizing 5S practices whenever possible
- Assists shipping department with crating and loading of conveyors
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of one year of electrical assembly experience in an industrial environment
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift and crane experience preferred
Skills and Abilities for this position
- Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings and/or specifications and electrical schematics
- Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and level
- Knowledge of numbers and dimensions
- Proficient with the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work as a member of a team and/or independently
- Quality and safety conscious
- Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift
- Comply with all company policies and safety guidelines
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels within the organization
- Ability to problem solve
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
