Job Description
We are seeking a Cash Application Analyst join American Tower’s Accounts Receivable (“AR”) team within the Finance Organization. The Accounts Receivable Finance team provides accounting support services for all receivable revenue for the Company’s U.S. Tower division. Day to day you will research and resolve all payments made to the rental lockbox. As a Cash Application Analyst, you will partner with cross-functional internal departments to resolve all payment discrepancies and drive timely and courteous resolutions for our external customers and collectors.

What You Can Offer Us
- Accurately code customer payments into the Oracle AR Module with the assistance of OBIEE reporting.
- Research and resolve all exception transactions generated from the AR upload files; liaise with customers, collectors, internal departments, and banking systems to resolve issues in accordance with department timelines.
- Reconcile and confirm the value of customer checks and automated clearing house/wires to ensure the total value matches the cash posted in Oracle.
- Update and maintain customers’ unique reference numbers for accounts that are not invoiced.
- Maintain a detailed list of payments that have and have not been posted in Oracle.
- Manage, control, and resolve customer deposit, payment, and account balance issues.
- Process refunds and accurately code and resolve unapplied cash according to policies and procedures for corresponding accounts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a business AR environment preferred.
- Oracle Financials AR module experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, preferably including Excel.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
