An exciting opportunity to join our creative, energetic, dedicated team of professionals! American Training is seeking a full-time Licensed or Licensed Eligible Clinician. In this role you will be responsible for assessment, evaluation, treatment and documentation of clinical care provided to Guests and Residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing clinical documentation to include safety plans and behavioral assessments. This includes assuring that plans are regularly brought through the Human Rights Committee, and training Colleagues on behavioral issues/interventions as needed.
- Provides assessment of Guests and Residents that may be in psychiatric crisis.
- Provides training to Colleagues on treatment plans, trauma informed care and topics related to mental health issues or issues related to developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with treatment providers in the community.
Requirements: Master’s degree with three years experience working in the field of mental health and developmental disabilities. Valid driver's license required, use of personal vehicle, as well as a satisfactory CORI and background check. Flexibility to work in Residential Homes.

- Knowledge of Department of Developmental Services and Human Rights regulations
- Exceptionally strong communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to write effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Good community relations skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Physical and emotional effort:
- Frequent walking, moderate standing and driving
- Work environment frequently hectic, fast-paced with periods of high stress
- Must be able to calmly and analytically respond to crisis and/or crisis situations
- Must be able to appropriate intervene in medical, psychiatric and behavioral crisis
