Responsibilities
The Student-Athlete Support Program (SASP) is seeking a student-athlete support assistant to aid in the administration of academic services offered to student-athletes. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Creating and organizing weekly reports and homework trackers.
- Coordinating and tracking study table schedules and study hall hours.
- Assist with scheduling student appointments and managing Assistant Academic Counselor calendar updates.
- Processing tutor requests, supporting tutor onboarding process and tutor program updates.
- Creating and tracking excusal letters.
- Creating and updating Progress Towards Degree trackers.
- Verifying and managing student-athlete rosters, and Teamworks/Retain roster management.
- Providing administrative support for student-athlete development programming and the AUx1 for student-athletes class.
- Creating surveys and compiling results.
- Other various data entry and data management projects.
- General office support for the Student-Athlete Support Program staff.
- Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Semesters, 20 hours a week.
- $17.50-$18.50 per hour.
- A resume or CV.
- Currently enrolled American University degree-seeking graduate student.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and with other computer programs including Google Docs.
